The Hardest Part is Done!
Honestly, the hardest part of training for a marathon or half marathon is the training. It’s non-stop, takes a lot of time, and is very tiring. You are constantly running on tired legs. But then you hit that taper period! And the drop in mileage allows you to regain strength and go into race day with rested legs, ready to run. I am now officially in my tapering period.
Today’s run was 21 miles. I kept the pace nice and easy. Those last few miles were hard, but I just kept telling myself that I was not allowed to give up. When I was finished, I felt like I could take a big sigh of relief! The hardest part is done.
Post run lunch (after chocolate milk, of course).
I roasted this cauliflower yesterday with chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper. Spicy, but so good! And yes, that is crushed red pepper on those eggs. Got a lot of heat going on that plate.
